Prayer Topic: Loneliness

We all go through some sort of feelings of loneliness from time to time. Empathize with them in the moment by sharing how you've gone through seasons of loneliness. Let them know that God created them to live in community with others and share the many opportunities we have to help them discover the friendships God has for them.

Encourage them to keep coming back to church either online or at a Life.Church location. It's there that they can begin to develop relationships with others who attend. Let them know we have LifeGroups they can join where they'll meet people who will help encourage them and keep them accountable. Remind them of the opportunity they have to serve with us as a volunteer where they'll meet people from around the world who are on the same mission.

Possible things to pray for:
  • Peace in their heart as they feel lonely
  • That they know God is always with them
  • Courage to take steps to make new friends
  • Strength to fight against the attacks of the enemy
  • The right relationships to come along in their life

Verses to share:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sinJohn 1:7

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17

And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25

And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosityall the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. Acts 2:44-47
